33kV Cable Jointer | SSE Authorisation (Other Authorisations Considered)
£50,000 - £55,000 + Van + Fuel Card

Are you an experienced 33kV Cable Jointer looking to join a growing business delivering electrical infrastructure projects across the South East and West of England, but with a national reach.

We are recruiting for a 33kV Cable Jointer to support the installation, jointing, termination and maintenance of 33kV cable infrastructure across a number of projects.

A large proportion of the work will be delivered across the SSE network, so candidates with current SSE authorisation would be highly desirable.

However, our client is also open to considering experienced 33kV Cable Jointers with authorisations from other DNOs, as they have additional projects across different network areas.

Job Role

As a Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for carrying out cable jointing and termination works safely and efficiently across live project environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cable jointing and terminating across LV and HV networks
• Installation and connection of power cables and associated equipment
• Reading and working from electrical drawings and cable schedules
• Carrying out testing and inspection of completed works
• Working closely with Site Supervisors, Engineers and Authorised Persons
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with safety procedures and client requirements
• Identifying and reporting defects or issues encountered on site
• Maintaining accurate records of completed works

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

• Previous experience working as a Cable Jointer within the power or utilities sector
• Experience working on LV/HV cable systems
• Relevant cable jointing qualifications
• SSE Authorisation 
• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures
• Ability to work safely within operational site environments
• Full UK driving licence

Salary, package and development

For this Cable Jointer opportunity, you will receive:

• £50,000 - £55,000, depending on experience
• 20 days' annual leave, rising to 25 days with length of service
• Lodge and daily expenses covered when working away from home
• Company van
• Fuel card
