CNC Turner - Weekend Shift

Up to £50,000

Newbury

Three long days, four days off, and a 25% shift premium on top. Not a bad trade.

Our client is an established precision engineering business producing high-performance components, and they're growing. They need an experienced CNC Turner for their weekend shift, programming, editing and running Okuma machines to a very high standard.

You'll:

• Programme, edit and operate Okuma turning machines
• Work from detailed engineering drawings and picture the finished part before you cut it
• Follow quality control procedures and document your work as you go
• Package components properly so nothing gets damaged on the way out

You'll need:

• A formal apprenticeship, or equivalent turning and general engineering experience
• Confidence working unsupervised and as part of a team
• Real focus and attention to detail
• A good grasp of how different materials behave

CMM or automated measuring experience is a plus, though they'll train you. Automotive, aerospace or motorsport backgrounds will stand out.

Shifts run Friday to Sunday, 06:00 to 18:30, with a 30 minute break. Benefits include pension, private healthcare, life assurance and on-site parking.
