Finance Assistant – About The Role

 In this role you will be reporting into the Finance Manager, and you will be mainly covering the Accounts Receivable/Credit Control function. You will also support in other areas of finance, and your key responsibilities will be:

• Take ownership of the collection of outstanding customer debts across the UK entities.
• Monitor aged debt and escalate issues in accordance with agreed procedures.
• Build strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payment and dispute resolution.
• Support cash collection forecasting.
• Maintain accurate customer account records within the ERP system.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Support bank reconciliation processes as required.
• Maintain petty cash records and reconciliations.
• Generate credit notes as required and ensure all necessary approvals.

The successful Finance Assistant will have:

• Active desire to pursue a career in finance
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be a car driver
