Based at our head office in Godalming, Surrey, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers on Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical projects. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role is predominantly office-based, with occasional site visits. A full, valid driving licence would therefore be an advantage but is not essential.

What you’ll do

• Produce electrical designs, electrical and lighting calculations, drawings, schedules and technical specifications
• Support projects from initial concept through to detailed design and delivery
• Work collaboratively with engineers, designers and wider project teams
• Provide technical input to support procurement, estimating and cost planning
• Undertake site visits and surveys, assist with design queries and carry out quality checks
• Help ensure designs are safe, compliant and of a high standard, while identifying opportunities to improve how we work

You will be

• A graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experienced in the workplace having spent at least a year working in an electrical engineering role on industrial placement or since graduating
• Familiar with relevant design software, such as Amtech, Relux, DIALux, CAD Viewers and Navisworks Viewer
• A problem-solver who can explain complex ideas simply
• Proactive, with bags of initiative and enjoy working as part of a team
• Keen to keep learning and progress towards chartership

Why Join Scitech-EKIUM?

It’s an exciting time to join Scitech-EKIUM as we continue to grow, welcoming talented professionals across multiple engineering disciplines. Through Xcellerate and beyond, you’ll follow a structured development programme, with mentoring and a funded route to chartership, designed to build your technical skills and set you up for a rewarding long-term career.
