Graduate Solar Engineer

Reading (Hybrid) 

Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum

VIQU are working with one of the UK's leading independent installers of large-scale solar PV systems to the commercial and public sectors. They're currently hiring for multiple engineering graduates to join their Graduate Engineer Training Programme at their Reading HQ. This is a structured route toward becoming a Chartered Engineer and, ultimately, a future leader within the business.

The role will focus on the electrical and mechanical design of solar PV systems, proect management, and on site installation of equipment. 

Job duties of the Graduate Solar Engineer: 

• Designing solar PV systems. 
• Helping prepare O&M quotations and proposals. 
• Sitting in on client meetings alongside the O&M and Project Management teams. 
• Daily remote monitoring of PV systems under long-term contracts.
• Assisting with system design and site documentation. 
• Preparing Health & Safety documentation to company standards. 
• Contributing to quarterly and annual O&M performance reports. 
• Working on site to support monitoring system setup.

What they're looking for:

• A Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering (or similar). 
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD. 
• Organised, reliable, and comfortable juggling multiple things at once.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Happy working across both office and site environments. 
• A basic understanding of, and genuine enthusiasm for, renewable energy and solar PV systems (prior experience not required).
