Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts to maximize profitability.
• Negotiate terms and contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to secure favorable agreements.
• Oversee the management of project schedules using tools like Microsoft Project to ensure timely completion of groundworks and civil works.
• Coordinate with project teams to monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve issues promptly through effective communication and leadership.
• Develop and implement organizational strategies for resource allocation, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of contractual changes, variations, claims, and progress reports using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
• Foster strong relationships with clients through transparent communication, ensuring their needs are met while aligning with project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies throughout all phases of the project.

Experience

• Proven experience in managing commercial aspects of groundworks or civil engineering projects within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated management skills with a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams effectively.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure advantageous contract terms while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project; excellent organizational skills for multitasking across multiple projects.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, technical specifications, and relevant regulations.
• Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Valid driving license preferred for site visits and client meetings; IT literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel is essential.
