💧 QUANTITY SURVEYOR – WATER INFRASTRUCTURE

📍 Thames Valley / Reading
💰 £40,000 – £55,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
🏗️ AMP8 | Water Treatment | Infrastructure

Fancy getting stuck into one of the biggest investment periods the water industry has seen?

We’re working with a major infrastructure contractor that’s growing its commercial team to support a significant pipeline of AMP8 water projects across the Thames Valley.

You’ll be working across water treatment projects ranging from £2.5m–£25m, covering a mixture of civil, mechanical, electrical and infrastructure works.

What you’ll be doing:

💰 Managing the commercial performance of live projects
📊 Monthly CVRs, forecasting, cash flow & cost control
🤝 Subcontract procurement from enquiry through to final account
📝 Applications for payment & contract administration
⚙️ Managing variations, change control & commercial risk
🏗️ Working closely with operational and project teams
📑 Supporting final accounts & dispute avoidance
👥 Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members

What we’re after:

✔️ Quantity Surveying experience within construction/infrastructure
✔️ Strong understanding of contracts, measurement & valuation
✔️ Confident managing subcontractors and commercial negotiations
✔️ Experience producing CVRs and financial forecasts
✔️ Comfortable working across live construction projects
✔️ Water / wastewater / treatment experience would be a massive advantage
✔️ RICS or similar professional membership desirable, but not essential

This is a site-facing role, typically around 3–4 days per week across projects in the Thames Valley/Reading area.
