Job Description:

Science Technician (Physics) - Temporary

Working for a well-established school based in Reading, this temporary Science Technician (Physics) position is working 28 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, and is paying approximately £14.40-£15.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This is an ASAP start, providing temporary cover within the Science department.

Duties:

• Prepare and set up equipment and apparatus for Physics lessons
• Support practical lessons and examination practicals
• Maintain and organise laboratory equipment
• Provide day-to-day support to Physics teaching staff
• Assist across other Science subjects when required
• Ensure equipment and practical areas are prepared safely and efficiently

Experience required:

• Previous laboratory, Science Technician or relevant practical experience
• A Physics, Engineering or Electronics background would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident working both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working within a school environment

This role is subject to the relevant safeguarding and Enhanced DBS checks.
