Project Manager – Major Infrastructure & Security Project

Location: Aldermaston & Reading – 60% onsite

Contract: 18 months

IR35: Inside IR35

Rate: £63.57 per hour Umbrella

Security Clearance: DV or eligible for DV

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major organisation delivering complex infrastructure and security-focused projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in NEC contracts, construction, engineering and supply-chain management, who is comfortable operating within a highly complex and security-conscious environment.

You will take ownership of project delivery, working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and the wider supply chain to manage schedule, cost, risk and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex projects from planning through to completion.
• Manage NEC contracts and associated commercial requirements.
• Engage closely with contractors and the supply chain.
• Drive project schedule, cost, risk and performance.
• Manage project complexity and resolve delivery issues.
• Oversee activities through the construction phase.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, security and operational stakeholders.
• Ensure project delivery remains aligned with programme, cost and quality requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Maintain strong governance, reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Quickly understand new requirements and take ownership of project delivery.

About You

We are looking for candidates with:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within complex projects.
• Strong NEC contract management experience.
• Experience managing contractors and supply chains.
• Understanding of the construction phase and construction-site requirements.
• CSC/CSCS card or equivalent.
• Background within the security industry or security-focused infrastructure, ideally including hostile vehicle mitigation.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, risk and complex delivery environments.
• Previous experience working within a large or complex organisation.
• A strong security mindset and the ability to work within controlled environments.
• A technical/engineering background in electrical, rail, signalling or London Underground environments would be highly beneficial.
• The ability to quickly understand complex projects and work autonomously.

You must hold DV clearance or be eligible to undergo DV clearance.
