SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist School

Location: Reading, Berkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £90 - £105 per day
Hours: Full-Time

A welcoming and supportive specialist school in Reading is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to children's education, confidence and development.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs
• Support children with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs
• Assist pupils with their learning and help them access the curriculum
• Encourage positive behaviour, communication and social development
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and help create a safe and inclusive classroom environment

The school offers a nurturing and structured environment where staff work closely together to ensure pupils receive the individual support they need. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will gain valuable experience working alongside experienced teachers and SEN professionals.

This role would suit graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Teaching Assistants or individuals with previous experience supporting children who are looking to develop their SEN knowledge further.
